From the very first note, the sound of liuqin and ruan flows with elegance and energy, touching hearts in ways words often cannot.
Though these traditional Chinese plucked instruments may still be little-known in Australia, their voices carry centuries of history, artistry, and emotion. At the Queensland Chinese Liuqin & Ruan Workshop, we believe that passion brings us together, and persistence keeps the flame alive.
Our mission is simple: to share the beauty of the liuqin and ruan with the wider community, and to create opportunities for cultural connection through music. Whether you are a beginner curious about trying something new, or an experienced musician seeking to explore Chinese repertoire, you will find inspiration and friendship here.
